The 2016 elections are upon us. Now is the time to grow a multi-racial coalition of progressive advocates to make sure that all communities have a voice in the political process. Filipinos are quickly becoming an active constituent in the democratic process with the potential for more growth. In CA, not only are there currently more than 370,000 Filipino registered voters, but Filipinos are also the largest immigrant group after Latinos, and in 2013 were nearly 40% of immigrants eligible to apply for naturalization, a precursor to voter registration.
