La Cocina is excited to welcome back long-time volunteer, Allison Ball for her “Brains of the Buyer” workshop next month. “Brains of the Buyer” helps producers understand the thought process of wholesale buyers: why they choose particular products to carry and why they pass on others; how they price them; the strategy behind re-ordering, merchandising, and promoting them; and how to convince those retail accounts to say “Yes!” to carrying their products.
Alli helps producers increase their wholesale presence through her one-on-one consulting and online group classes. Prior to launching her consulting business, Alli was Head of Grocery & Store Manager at Bi-Rite Market, where she supported and promoted many small food businesses. In addition to volunteering at La Cocina, Alli gives her time to other food-focused Bay Area non-profits through teaching at The Food Craft Institute, acting as a Captain for Kitchen Table Advisors, and as Founding Chair of the Pantry Committee forThe Good Food Awards.
Please join us for an evening of education and discussion, and leave with a greater understanding of how to get your products on the grocery shelf!
